Todmorden Riverside Improvement Group (TRIG) are a small group of volunteers who look after a stretch of the river bank alongside the Calder in Todmorden in the South Pennines.

TRIG was established in 1998 to try and prevent the Riverside, known locally as Tipside, from being turned into a car park. Since then we have had to fight off many threats from potential developers.

TRIG believe the Riverside  is a precious resource for both people and wildlife in Todmorden. It is a valuable and popular green space in the heart of the town centre, and home to an amazingly varied range of wildlife, as well as providing a welcome green backdrop to the town.
